A new project is in order. The fence that stands on our south yard line has been exposed to abuse over the years and has proven to be on its last post. We currently have boards holding it up in companionship with our neighbor’s tree which the fence is secured to at the moment. The time has been long awaited for these changes to happen. After a few years of saving the planets have aligned, which is a great way of saying (blessings from God) are coming our way!

 My parents were incredible and allowed us to borrow their trailer we spent 2 hours counting and loading wood from Home Depot. It took 4 carts in the end. Only two are pictured. This is just the first installment since we didn't want to over load the trailer.

All the workers kept asking, "Think you guys have enough wood?" One of the workers turned to Tad at one point and said, "Man, that is one BIG honey do list. You are going to be working overtime!" 

Hahaha. Little did he know Tad and I WORK TOGETHER and PLAY TOGETHER. It is plenty of work, and well worth it for the gratification you get in the end when you can look at the finished product and say WE turned our dreams into reality with hard work and love. 

 

Once we had the trailer loaded we took it home to unload it. Can you believe I only had one sliver?! I shouldn't say that yet since it is truly only the beginning. Toward the end the sweet Elders came over and shared their young missionary spirit with us by volunteering to help us unload the trailer. It was so nice of them! 

This is a picture of our south side yard that we are working on. You can faintly see the black lines we sprayed on the grass to mark the outline of where we need to renovate. We had blue stakes come out and now just need to rent the tractor. The wood stump is our "chopping block" which is also the center of where our little pool goes in the summer.

Once it get's warm we should have the space ready to put the pool in. As you can see the fence is leaning, and is held up by 2x4's and nailed into our neighbors tree. The new fence wont have sections of plywood either! 

May the work continue, and the pay off be ever fruitful!

This past weekend we did something extra special. We had the chance on Friday night to play "mommy and daddy" for my brother Todd's kids while he and Jen were out of town looking for a new home to buy in Arizona. Exciting for them, they got a work promotion and are getting ready to make the move. So we stayed with the kids. I invited my parents (grandpa and grandma Glover) to come have a backyard fire and roast marsh mellows. The kids had a blast. I took this photo even though we are not all in it, you can still see they are happy. 

My fundraiser I've been doing to raise money for our Infertility treatments called “Booties for Baby” has slowed down now that the cold weather is beginning to ebb so I have been constructing a few more crochet items I can sell. Those who have participated are sweet angels and I’m grateful for their support! The pictures I am posting are off my phone and naturally are the bright (destiny colors) so not everything is this obnoxious.  So keep that in mind hahaha. 

This is the beginnings of what will eventually be a baby boy blanket. I've been having fun making this one! And it is a good thing because I have such a long ways to go!

Tad and I were completely blessed recently to be able to enjoy a few new experiences together for our 3^rd wedding anniversary celebration. We decided we would fix up our ancient tent trailer and start creating memories of our own family to enjoy for years to come. And what a joy it was! The work on the trailer paid of spectacularly as we took it on the maiden voyage to Arizona’s south rim of the Grand Canyon. Our trip then took us to Arches national park, Capitol Reef National park and back home. The trip was incredible fun, we loved hiking and exploring the new places, and I LOVED taking pictures and experimenting with my camera. Tad and I have always been able to have a lot of fun together and this was no exception. This country is beautiful and full of adventures to be had. Family time is very important, and we are so thankful we were able to spend it safely.

 

This is a picture we took on our actual anniversary when we went to dinner. We tried the Rodizo Grill which Tad fell in love with. I enjoyed it too, but in a different way.

It has been a long time since I have updated so I am throwing a few things together to slap on this blog so that I can feel better about not having done it sooner. It is just a nice way for me to be able to leave a record of some kind. Not too shabby for the way I do things.

As part of my calling as the Young Women Second counselor in the presidency it is my responsibility to come up with a theme, decorations, and refreshments for the activity that happens once a year called New Beginnings. This is where we introduce the current year’s theme. For this year it is ‘Stand ye in Holy places and be not moved.’ So we built off of that. I came up with a theme called, “follow the yellow brick road of virtue”.

Yellow/gold are colors that are attributed to the Young Women value of Virtue, we did a path of yellow bricks which had things that keep us virtuous and righteously living written on them. Along with experiences the young women have had that have helped them. The path wound through a dark forest of sin and temptation then through a forest (some of the greenery is pictured below) then ultimately ended at the temple. I’ll find and post better pictures at some point.

 

History in the making…

We are investing in our future by fixing up our new hand me down trailer. We “bought” it from my parents with the hope it would be our first installment of many future fond memories as a family. I remember camping in it many times and hope we can fix it up so that my children will share some of the same kind adventures.

The tent trailer is an 1986 Skamper and this is just the first round up changes. It’s taken us a series of weeks to get this much done. But all things take time.

 This one is the latch that keeps the top from

coming up while we are driving. Usually important. So we went to see if we could find a new one. Trouble is it took a bit of effort because of how old this trailer is but we were blessed to find one! We also went to the trouble of re sealing the entire top. There was evidence of some water damage on the wood inside in some of the corners so we fixed it all up to make sure that wouldn't be a problem ever again. 

 This one we found that the track was disconnected from the back of the propane stove. We used the drill to make new holes because the other holes were stripped out. Then re attached it to the back. We had to be very careful not to split the wood the stove is built into. 

A few weeks ago we packed the wheel barrings on the trailer and made sure the tires were good enough. I still need to inflate them to the proper psi but for the most part that is finished. We took 2 days to get the wiring and installation completed on the hitch and the conversion from a flat four to a round seven.  

next on the list was the gas. We checked the line which seemed to be filling but I was swearing I could smell it. Tad got underneath and checked the lines only to find water had gotten into the line and frozen. There was this massive hole that looked like someone had sliced it from the inside out with a large blade. So the line was disconnected and cut to find that it needed to be flared and we didn't have the tools to do it. Yet another trip to get parts. wahoo! A few hours later and a few swipes of our wonder card we had all new propane line and had to go home and run the new line. Which as far as we can tell will work great!

Through all of the changes and updates we are finding more that need to be done. So it truly is a fixer upper. We are building memories and a trailer it seems. 

So far it has been a lot of work and a lot of fun! 

Oh the places we'll go! 

I am curious to see if I will still think that a tent is better. I'm the kind of girl who would take my bedroll and throw it under the stars and be happy. That is what I'm used to. So we will see how our winter camping in our skamper goes. 

A few people have asked me how things are going. That is a pretty broad questions but I know they are curious about a few things. Tad is back in school for his last semester before he takes his Journeyman license test. We have quite a bit to look forward to in that regard. He is a hard worker and is brilliant so it comes down to a few tests and getting the right hours required. 

Quick note:

Our 3^rd wedding anniversary is quickly approaching in March and we are hoping that we can use Tad’s spring break for a trip. Since we don’t see a lot of one another during this time I am really hoping we can have some miracle happen so we can have time together. We both work full time and have been keeping busy with work, school, and our church callings.

 

Baby:

Emotionally, spiritually, and physically I needed a break from all the testing we were doing while trying to get pregnant. Seeing all of those negative tests day after day, month after month wears quite quickly. I’m going to be back in the running sooner than later as I start a new method next week. My main focus is to try to clean my system up and get rid of some impurities that we think may be slowing our progression with getting pregnant. We continue to thank our friends and family for their ongoing support and love. We EVER so badly desire to have little angels of our own to love and teach, to laugh with and I’m sure on occasion to wipe away the dirt from a skinned knee from playing too hard. 

My time is FULL right now with serving in our Young Women’s organization, and after February 12^th things will become much more manageable as we will be over our New Beginnings program, where we welcome the sweet “new girls” that will be coming in to the organization this year. Our Youth’s theme is to “Stand in Holy places, and be not moved.” I am excited to see the miracles that transpire when we follow the teachings and counsel of our Savior Jesus Christ, and I can tell you I’ve already seen it happening.

That is the update for this month. We love you all and hope and pray you are doing well.

We are as excited as ever to take a new run this year at starting our family. All along the way we have been blessed with many miraculous miracles that have helped increase our faith and hope as we move forward with testing and treatment.

 Tad and I are truly enjoying one another and the joys of a new year. We have a good feeling this year might be the one we start our family!!!! I can hardly wait to have that blessing in my life. For now I will keep trying to be the best I can and hang in there as we do our tests. To our friends and family, your support and love means everything!
